Mary Nell Harris Settles, age 86 of Omaha, Texas passed away September 9, 2023, at her residence.

Mrs. Settles was born July 31,1937 in Emmet, Arkansas. She was retired from Arkla Gas and a member of the Naples Church of Christ.

Mrs. Settles was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Settles; her parents Fred and Tena Harris; two brothers, Billy and Walter Harris; and one sister, Jane Haines.

Survivors include her son Ted Allen Settles and wife, Tammie, of Seguin, Texas and her daughter Jana Joyce Freeman and husband, Don of Maud, Texas; one sister, Sue Hudnall of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Rambo of Omaha, Texas, Shirley McIntyre of Omaha, and Francis Harris of Emmet, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Kristin Settles and husband Anthony of Houston, Texas, Callie Richardson and husband Geoff of Fort Worth, Texas, Kayce Carrier and husband Chris of Wake Village, Texas, Clint Freeman and wife Louella of Hooks, Texas, Julia Allison Grimm and husband Chris of Seguin, Travis Ehrlich, and Chelsea Ehrlich; twelve great-grandchildren, Brody Carrier, Shanleigh Carrier, Eathan Freeman, Ella Freeman, Emberli Freeman, Taylor Mackenzie Grimm, Kirra Grimm, Cooper Grimm, Gracie Ann Garton, Raegyn Ehrlich, Skyleigh Ehrlich, and Prince Williams.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at The Church of Christ in Naples, Texas with Damon Hodges and Phillip Kelly officiating. Burial will be held at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha, Texas. The family will receive friends at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas, Monday, September 11, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Naples Church of Christ.
