Obituary

Nora Dee Minton, age 86, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Nora was born October 12, 1930, in Lafayette, Texas, to Clyde Jones and Minnie Lou Payne Jones.

Nora was a member at Liberty Baptist Church in Naples, where she was the church treasurer for 17 years. She worked many years at Morris County National Bank as a teller before going to work for Traylor Peanut Farm where she was their bookkeeper. Nora enjoyed gardening and yardwork. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, and antiquing. She loved her family.

Nora was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Joe Mack Minton, in 2001; and her parents.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and W.L. Wilhite of Omaha and Linda and Tim Tenbrook of Longview; one sister, Edna Fincher of Gilmer; three grandchildren, Daniel Tenbrook and wife Kacy, Robby Tenbrook and wife Sheena, and Monica Dyess and husband Bransen; seven great-grandchildren, Jack Hamilton, Ella Tenbrook, Nora Tenbrook, Will Tenbrook, Maddy Tenbrook, Jordan Wilhite, and Blake Wilhite; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Liberty Baptist Church in Naples with Bro. Roy Conatser and Bro. Shane Sibley officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Naples.
