Joyce O'Della Hodges, age 87, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019 at her home.  O'Della was born November 6, 1931 in Yuba, Oklahoma to Johnny McDonald and Ettie Louise Ladd McDonald.

O'Della was a member at Prayer View Baptist Church in Achilee, Oklahoma.  She retired from Cypress Basin Hospice where she worked as a nurse.  O'Della enjoyed cooking and quilting.  She especially enjoyed taking care of other people.

O'Della was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Hodges; one son, Randy Hodges; one daughter, Saundra Runyon; four brothers, O'Gene McDonald, Clyde McDonald, Leon McDonald, and Raymond McDonald; one sister, Ion Kennedy; and one grandson, Thomas Jackson.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ricki and Caren Hodges of Marietta, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Bruce Jackson of Omaha; one sister, Glenda Hamby of Paradise, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald Wayne and Louise McDonald of Durant, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the funeral home with Rev. Nolan Richey officiating.  Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha, Texas.
