Thelma Opal Collins, age 98, of Texarkana, Texas, formerly of Naples, Texas, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016, in Texarkana. Opal was born October 31, 1918 to Harrison and Nancy Lowe.

Opal was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She was a homemaker. Opal enjoyed sewing, working puzzles, reading, and writing.

Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. O.R. "Bunt" Collins; one son, Jerry Leonard; four brothers, Jack Lowe, Johnny Lowe, Elwood Lowe, and Harrison Price; and one sister, Juanita Quimby.

Surviving family members include her daughter, Geri Collins; three stepsons, Donnie Collins, Eddie Collins, and Jim Collins; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Harrison Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Wesley Vandever officiating. Graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. at Gladewater Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
