Pansy Neil McCord, age 77, of Daingerfield, Texas, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017, in Daingerfield, Texas. Pansy was born January 29, 1940 in Marietta, Texas to Odis V. and Berah Hanes McCord.

Pansy was a member at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Marietta. She was a Paul H. Pewitt Class of 1958 graduate. She lived in Dallas for 10 years and moved to Marlin, Texas and spent 8 enjoyable years in Marlin before returning to east Texas. She began working in the oil field as a mudlogger where she spent many wonderful years working for R Lacy Incorporated. Pansy enjoyed fishing, collecting rocks, and researching and recording gravesites of cemeteries.

Pansy was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Forrest McCord.

Surviving family members include two sisters and brother-in-law, Doris Baugh and Garland of Pittsburg, Texas and Paulette Smith of Daingerfield, Texas; two nephews, Darrell and Sheila Lowery of Powderly, Texas and Toney and Donna Lowery of Arp, Texas; one niece, Kim Ramos of Marietta, Texas; one aunt, Helen Hanes of Camden, Arkansas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Bro. Chas Carlisle and Bro. Bryan Peck officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Marietta.
