Patricia Ann "Pat" Lippe, age 61, of Naples, Texas, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020, in Tyler, Texas. Pat was born May 3, 1958 in Lubbock, Texas to Donald DeForrest Ely and Glenda Parsons Ely.
Pat attended Church on the Rock in Daingerfield. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse, having finished in the top of her class at nursing school. She was a member of the National Nurses Association and the Texas Nurses Association. Pat was an accomplished drummer, and played drums for the Life Tabernacle Praise and Worship Team for approximately 21 years. She also played in various other gospel groups. Pat loved all things music and also played the guitar. She enjoyed making ceramics and writing. More than anything, Pat loved spending time with her grandchildren who knew her as "Mamaw."
Pat was preceded in death by her father, Donald Ely; mother and stepfather, Glenda and Danny Hill; grandparents, Edward and Jimmie Lee Parsons; her first husband, Ray Maiville; one sister, LaVonda Evans; one brother, Vance Hill; and one grandson, Nathan Anderson.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Lippe of Naples; one son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Ashley Maiville of Naples; two daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Todd Collins of Sherman, Texas, and Allison and Daniel Anderson of Pittsburg, Texas; one brother, Ed Hill of Naples; one sister and brother-in-law, Jo Ann and Mike Rude of Longview, Texas; nine grandchildren, Hailey Maiville, Connor Maiville, Anna Maiville, Tred Collins, Cy Collins, Adelyn Collins, Matthew Anderson, Hadassah Anderson, and Evelyn Anderson; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 at Church on the Rock in Daingerfield with Pastor Randy Seybert and Pastor Bryan Peck officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children Burn Unit, 815 Market Street, Galveston, TX 77550.
