James Paul Beggs, age 68, of Naples, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. Paul was born February 9, 1949 in Naples, Texas to Tommy Lee Beggs and Mildred Evelene McDaniel Beggs.

Paul was a Methodist by faith. He was employed by Bryan Farms, where he was a heavy equipment operator. Paul enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed gardening.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Evelene Beggs.

Surviving family members include his wife, Cathy Beggs of Naples; three sons, Thomas Beggs of Texarkana, Arkansas, Ray Beggs of Orange, Texas, and Keith Beggs of Naples; two daughters and sons-in-law, Annie and Daniel Pritchett of Daingerfield, Texas and Nikki and Andy Johnson of Simms, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Bennie and Sandra Beggs of Naples; one sister, Martha Lavender of Naples; a special nephew, Terry Lyon of Simms; eleven grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2017 at Harrison Funeral Home chapel in Naples with Bro. Roy Conatser officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bryans Mill, Texas.
