Paul Ryan Hicks, age 53, of Naples, Texas, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 in Longview, Texas. Paul was born March 5, 1968 in Naples.

Paul was a member at Daniels Chapel Congregational Methodist Church in Naples where he served as a deacon.  Paul worked at Priefert Manufacturing as a Controls Technician.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching movies.  Paul was a very talented woodworker and a natural "Mr. Fix-it."  He was a perfectionist at everything he did.  Paul loved to cook as well.  He loved spending time with his family and friends and helping others.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Eddy Hall; and his father-in-law, Lanny Peek.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Lana Hicks of Naples; parents, Kerry and Marlene Hicks of Naples; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Austin Hicks of Naples and Jared and Emily Hicks of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Jeff Slagle of Pottsboro, Texas, Kelley and B.R. Frith of Denison, Texas, and Michelle and Brad McCone of Crowley, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Cassandra Vissering of Naples and Harry and Chassidy Vissering of Naples; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Brinda and Larry Rainey of Omaha, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Daniels Chapel Congregational Methodist Church in Naples with Rev. John Ross Jones and Rev. Tod Thompson officiating.  Interment will follow at Creekmore Cemetery in Naples.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Daniels Chapel Congregational Methodist Church prior to the funeral.
