Obituary

Pennie Joyce Charlton Hitchcock was born on November 14, 1960 to Joyce and Floyd Charlton of Omaha. She passed on January 19, 2026. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Omaha. She was a bookkeeper most of her adult life. She retired from Pilgrim's Pride where she worked for 10 years. She loved her coworkers and called them family.

Pennie loved without hesitation, pouring her heart into caring for her family. Taking care of the people she loved was not just something Pennie did, it was who she was. Her grandbabies were the joy of her life, and she loved them with every part of her being. Pennie cherished time spent with friends and family, creating memories. She loved the sunshine, especially when she got to go fishing alongside her husband.

Pennie loved Jesus. She was a fierce believer whose faith guided her life. She shared that faith openly and passionately, teaching her family about Jesus, and leaving behind a legacy rooted in love, strength, and belief.

Pennie was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alvie and Peggy Hitchcock; and sister-in-law, Tammy Sue Hitchcock.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Rocky Hitchcock of Omaha; her daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Nathan Cameron of Mount Pleasant; her son, Jesse Hitchcock of Linden; her brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Ellen Charlton of Plano; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tim and Cici Hitchcock of Omaha; sister-in-law, Pam Lasika of Missouri; grandchildren, Jade and Kolton Whorton of Linden, Derek and Isaiah Hitchcock of Linden, Kainin, Ethan, Oaklynn Cameron of Mount Pleasant; and her great-grandchildren, Waylon Whorton and one on the way.  She is also survived by numerous cousins, friends, and family.
