Philip Lon Saunders, 76, of Naples, Texas, lost his long fight with Cancer on December 9, 2018 at 12:56 p.m. at Titus Regional Medical Center, lovingly surrounded by family.

Phil was a longtime resident of Naples, Texas.  He was proud of his service in the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant.  He worked as Maintenance Director at David Granberry Hospital until he retired.

Phil was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Saunders, and parents, James and Marianne Saunders.

Survivors include his children, son Lon Saunders and wife Robin of Royse City, Texas and daughter Elizabeth Crider of Fate, Texas; sister, Sue Carter of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Kayla Secundido, Kylie Adamson, Lena Saunders, Zachary Saunders, Shelby Saunders, Colton Crider, Jacob Crider, Blake Green and Colin Green; great-grandchildren, Liam, Landon, and Isabella; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Springhill Cemetery. Pallbearers included Zachary Saunders, Colton Crider, Jacob Crider, Blake Green, Colin Green and Paul Jonaitis.
