Randall Lee May, 68, of New Boston, Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at his home, surrounded by family.
Randall was born October 20, 1953, in Naples, Texas to Willie Lee and Vernon May. He graduated from Paul H Pewitt High School in 1971 and then attended Stephen F. Austin State University. He worked as a carpenter with his father for several years, then at the International Paper Lumber Mill in New Boston for 27 years, Southern Pine Inspection Bureau for 7 years, and West Fraser Lumber Mill in New Boston for over 3 years.
Randall's lifelong passion was fishing, especially with his wife, Julie. He competed in various bass-fishing tournaments for many years.
Randall was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Julie May of New Boston, Texas; two sons, Jeff and wife Valentina May of Dallas, Texas, and Eric and wife Alexandra May of Washington, DC; three grandchildren, Connor and Evelyn May of Dallas and Maxwell May of Washington, DC; one brother, Deryl and wife Janeta May of Maud, Texas; two sisters, Winnie Hooker of Spring, Texas and Darline and husband Danny Crooks of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
