Regena Lee Perkins Birdwell, age 71, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Regena was born January 19, 1955, in Charleston, South Carolina.

Regena was Methodist. She retired from Turner Bros. Trucking where she worked as a dispatcher and office manager. She truly loved her work. Regena’s greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and unconditional love. Though she is gone from our sight, her love will remain in our hearts forever, and her memory will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her. She will be forever loved, forever remembered, and never forgotten.

Regena was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Betty and Powell Lee Craker; father, William L. “Buck” Perkins; one daughter, Tina Flood; two brothers, William H. “Bubba” Perkins and Ronnie Perkins; and one sister, Mendy Munn.

Survivors include two sons, Jody Oddo of Daingerfield, Texas and Chris Flood of Gilmer, Texas; five grandchildren, Katie Flood and husband Michael Todd, Faith Oddo, John Oddo, Sarah Wyatt, and Kharlen Graham and fiancé Tanner; four great-grandchildren; three first cousins, Vickie LeRoy, Charlie Jack Smith, and Jan Forrest; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2026 at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha, Texas with Trenton Munn officiating.
