James Reginald McIntyre, age 78, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at his home.  Reginald was born August 1, 1942, in Naples, Texas to Sherman Arthur McIntyre and Ruby Anderson McIntyre.

Reginald was a member at First United Methodist Church in Omaha.  He was also a member of The Elks Lodge, the Lumberman's Association, and the Omaha City Park Board.  Reginald worked in lumber sales many years before retiring from Georgia Pacific in 1996.  He then went to work for Boise Cascade and officially retired in 2013.  Reginald loved building furniture.  He was an accomplished carpenter and a master craftsman.  He also enjoyed scuba diving.

Reginald was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Max McIntyre and M.G. McIntyre; one sister, Karen Barron; and two brothers-in-law, James Settles and Carl Rambo.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Shirley Settles McIntyre; two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Paula McIntyre of Lafayette, Louisiana and Kyle and Dawn McIntyre of Holts Summit, Missouri; one sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and Nick Garretson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; one brother-in-law, Jimmy Barron of Cornett, Texas; four sisters-in-law, Nell Settles of Omaha, Barbara Rambo of Omaha, Ann McIntyre of Simms, Texas, and Faye McIntyre of Brownwood, Texas; seven grandchildren, Melina McIntyre, Kerisa LaFleur and husband Troy, Lacey McIntyre, Dakota Reuter and wife Brittany, Dalton Reuter, Tony McIntyre, and Andrew Laffoon; three great-grandchildren, Alyssa Savant, Charlee LaFleur, and Bane LaFleur; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.  Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2020 at First United Methodist Church in Omaha with Rev. Caleb Harp officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Omaha or to Cypress Basin Hospice.
