James Richard Day, age 66, of New Boston, Texas, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024 in Texarkana, Texas. Richard was born February 22, 1958, in New Boston to James Edward Day and Bobbie Lou Harrison Day.

Richard was a small business owner for many years. He enjoyed everything involving race cars.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Day; his parents; and two sons, Chris Day and David Day.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Day of New Boston; his step mother, Linda Day of Texarkana, Texas; one daughter, Kristi Blalock of Mount Pleasant, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Tammie and Harry Gross of Texarkana, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Delana Day of Rosharon, Texas; one step brother, Tim Day of Texarkana; five grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Harrison Funeral home in Naples with Michael Mauldin officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bryans Mill, Texas.
