Richard Wayne Hooper, age 68, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023, in Dallas, Texas. Richard was born April 17, 1955, in Tucson, Arizona, to Alton Pierce Hooper and Grace Elizabeth Wright.

Richard was an active member of Liberty Baptist Church and loved helping in the church.  He retired from Domtar Paper Mill in Ashdown where he was the maintenance supervisor.  Richard was an antique car and truck enthusiast and loved going to swap-meets to find parts.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking.  Richard loved spending time with his family and watching his grandsons play ball.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Chuck Hooper and Floyd Hooper; and two sisters, Linda Hooper and Myrtis Knowles.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Ann Hooper of Omaha; two sons, Brian Hooper and Matt Hooper of Omaha; one daughter, Whitney Babcock of Omaha; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Loyd and Lunetta Hooper of Naples and Ann Hooper of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; one sister, Minnie Zelle of Sulphur Springs, Texas; three grandsons, Brady Babcock, Cannon Babcock, and Colby Babcock; a host of beloved in-laws; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2023 at Liberty Baptist Church in Naples with Rev. Roy Conatser and Rev. Paul Beard officiating.  Interment will follow at Wilder Cemetery in Naples.
