Obituary

Richard Arlin Wright, age 87, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.  Richard was born April 22, 1935, in Omaha, to Cluron E. Wright and Opal "Midget" Parham Wright.

Richard was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Omaha and also attended Bar Nun Cowboy Ministries.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  Richard was a life-long rancher and took great pride in his cattle and land.  He was a member of the David Elliott Masonic Lodge, past member of the Paul Pewitt School Board, past board member of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, and a member of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.  He enjoyed fishing and quail hunting.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Myra Beth Wright; and his parents.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Terry Wiley of Omaha; one son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Goldie Wright of Omaha; four grandchildren, Kiersten Wiley and fiancé Jared Tucker, Meaghen Wiley, Harley Heard and husband Trent, and Hannah Wright; one great-granddaughter, Vallie Rae Heard; special cousins, Susan Mix and Cheryl Harrison; special friends, Mickey and Nancy Carter; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2022 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas.  Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Bar Nun Cowboy Ministries in Omaha with Bro. Dwaine Higgins and Bro. Nolan Richey officiating.  Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cypress Basin Hospice or the Omaha Cemetery Association.
