Robert Ray Crocker was born August 2, 1933 to Willie and Viva Crocker.  He later married Shirley Irene Sutton Crocker.  They had three children in their 65 years of marriage.

Robert was a cowboy in every aspect of the word, from running ranches, rodeos, training horses, to just everyday farmwork.  He loved every minute of it.  Shirley spent many years cooking meals for many ranch hands where they lived and worked.  Robert was known for his knowledge of horses and cattle and could build anything from Shirley's birdhouses to family homes.  He lived a full life, was respected by many, and left a great legacy.  He taught his great-grandchildren to ride horses and so many other things.  Robert was a member at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Marietta, Texas.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; son, Jackie Ray; parents, Willie and Viva; sister, Kay; and brother, Perry.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, DiAnn and Auvis Shaddix of Marietta, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Andy Crocker and Cindy Cameron of Naples, Texas; grandchildren, Ashlee and Joe Ray Morris, Scott and Malinda Shaddix, JR and Lindi Crocker, and Jennifer and Kenneth Hooten; great-grandchildren, Jett and Mylee Morris, Zach Shaddix, Kaylon, Bentley, and Blaykon Crocker, and Langston and Tucker Hooten; two brothers, Joe Crocker and Billy Crocker; and many other family and friends.

Robert passed away on August 7, 2020 in Atlanta, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2020 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas with David Markham officiating.  Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Marietta.
