John Roger Hicks, age 58, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 in Richardson, Texas. Roger was born May 2, 1963 in Mesquite, Texas to John Henry Hicks and Hildred Carpenter Hicks.

Roger worked as a carpenter.  He attended Restoration Family Worship Center.  Roger enjoyed his work and was a very talented carpenter.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting.  Roger loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and pets.

Roger was preceded in death by his father and mother; his stepmother, Mary Hicks; two brothers, Robin Hicks and Tab Hicks; and an infant sister, Marita Hicks; and a sister-in-law, Judy Tolleson.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Cathy Hicks of Omaha; one daughter and son-in-law, Kaylee Hicks and Zack Hollon of Omaha; one son, Dale Hicks of Omaha; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Janet Hicks of Naples, Texas; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ramona and Charles Martin of Naples, Lea Ann Fondren of Omaha, and Tina and Pat Savage of Leary, Texas; one stepbrother, Gary Ragsdale of Naples; one stepsister, Jeanette Leyhe of Mesquite; four grandchildren, Kevin Henderson, Jocie Strube, John Hicks, and Holton Hicks; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples with Pastor Charles Wilson officiating.  Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Omaha.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the funeral home prior to the service.
