Ronnie Dale "Ron" Mezzacappa, age 74, of Naples, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026, in Longview, Texas. Ron was born May 6, 1951, in Hanford, California, to Louis Mezzacappa and Erline Tallon Mezzacappa.

Ron retired from Schnitzer Steel as a heavy equipment operator. He was also an operating engineer, and a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Ron was a Unites States Army Veteran, and was an elder and member of Bar Nun Cowboy Ministries. In his free time, he enjoyed knife making, fishing, was an avid firearms enthusiast, and was a military reenactor.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jack Mezzacappa and Rusty Reed; and one sister, Lynn Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Lynne Mezzacappa of Naples; one son, David Aaron Mezzacappa of Meridian, Idaho; one brother, Joseph Westmoreland of Fresno, California; one sister, Jolene Maier of Hanford, California; one niece, Jesica Guerricagoitia of Nevada, Missouri; one nephew, Ryan Mezzacappa of Lompoc, California; and numerous other relatives and friends

A Celebration of Life service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Bar Nun Cowboy Ministries in Omaha, Texas.
