Ronald Dean "Ron" Rumsey, age 60, of Naples, Texas, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017, in Omaha, Texas. Ron was born April 12, 1957 in Longview, Texas to John Wayne and Margaret Diane Thomas Rumsey.

Ron worked as store manager at various stores across the United States. He was a Baptist. He was a United States Army veteran. He enjoyed woodworking, motorcycles, loved his pets, and doing things with his kids.

Ron was preceded in death by one brother, John Bryan Rumsey; and one daughter, Lauri Alison Rumsey.

Surviving family members include his wife, Tina Hatfield Rumsey of Naples, Texas; his parents, Wayne and Diane Rumsey of Naples, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Judd and Michelle Rumsey of Gladewater, Texas; two step-daughters and step-sons-in-law, Ashley and Joe Tucker of Omaha, Texas and Gabby and Harrison Martin of Simms, Texas; two brothers, Jerry Rumsey of Houston, Texas and Mark Rumsey of Los Angeles, California; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Bill Tullis of Tyler, Texas and Pam and Bill Kerekesh of Atlanta, Georgia; one granddaughter, Sara Rumsey of Gladewater, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2017 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha with Rev. Nolan Richey officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Omaha.
