Rosa Alvinteen Murphy, age 81, of Umpire, Arkansas, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, in Dierks, Arkansas.  Rosa was born August 2, 1943, in Raywick, Kentucky.

Rosa worked many years as a secretary with the Teleservice Telephone Company.  She also worked at D&Z Armory.  She then retired and became a homemaker.  Rosa enjoyed cooking, playing cards, fishing, and canoeing.

Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Murphy; parents, Charles and Louise Gunter; three sisters, Marlene Gunter, Charlene Gunter, and Betty Easley; and one son-in-law, Tim Stennett.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Ann Murphy of Redwater, Texas; one daughter, Sheryl Stennett of Vicksburg, Mississippi; one sister, Barbara Harrison of Omaha, Texas; three grandchildren, Billy Murphy, Brandi Freeman and husband Larry Collet, and Jessica Freeman; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas.  Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Old Union Cemetery in Simms with Rev. Benny Dollins officiating.
