Roy Allen Barnett, age 64, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024, in Texarkana, Texas. Roy was born July 31, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, to Roy Trumon Barnett and Sharon Elaine Reed Barnett.

Roy was a member of Church on the Rock in Daingerfield.  He retired from CAMCO Elevator, Inc. where he was the lead elevator mechanic. Roy graduated from Longview High school where he was the Lobo mascot.  He then attended Kilgore College where he was the manager for the Rangerettes.

Roy often used his talents to serve his community. One could always find him building props and painting sceneries for various plays or events. In later years, he was locally known as the "Bull Man" after he bought and refurbished the Brahma Bull that he would take to all the Paul Pewitt High School football games. Above anything, Roy loved his family and devoted his life to caring for them.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie Barnett; his mother and father; his stepmother, Hassie Barnett; and one brother, Dewayne Barnett.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Amber and Stephen Newton of Texarkana, Texas, Hollie and Josh Lowrance of Azle, Texas, and Paige and Blake Worthen of Coffee City, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Gina and Troy Stoltz of Irving, Texas; eight grandchildren, Gabriella Newton, Aaliyah Newton, Destiney Newton, Hannah Lowrance, Harmony Lowrance, Titus Lowrance, Theo Lowrance, Parker Worthen; three nieces, Sumer Barnett, Brandi Atkins, Sandi Pincock; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Church on the Rock in Daingerfield with Pastor Randy Seybert officiating.  Interment will follow at Rosewood Park Cemetery in Longview, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mia Moo Fund for children born with cleft lip and palate in honor of his grandson, Theo.
