Russell Darrell Ray, age 64, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2025, in Plano, Texas.  Russell was born December 19, 1960, in Dallas, Texas.

Russell was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Marietta, Texas.  He was a member of the Marietta Volunteer Fire Department.  Russell was a handyman and could build nearly anything.  He enjoyed helping others, collecting cars, fishing, and drawing.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Darma and Clifford Hatfield; and one stepsister, Kathy Ford.

Survivors include his brother, Ronnie Ray of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; two aunts, Atha Wigington of Spencerville, Oklahoma and Virginia Radford of New Boston, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.
