Saundra Hodges Runyon, age 66, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017, at her home. Saundra was born November 26, 1950 in Kemp, Oklahoma to Wesley W. Hodges and O'Della McDonald Hodges.

Saundra was a member at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha, where she was the director of music for several years. She retired from Paul Pewitt High School. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Morris County Retired Teachers Association. Saundra was a Girl Scout leader for many years as well. She enjoyed embroidery, cake decorating, watching TV, listening to Elvis and singing.

Saundra was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Runyon, in 2014; her father, Wesley Hodges; and one brother, Randy Hodges.

Surviving family members include her mother, O'Della Hodges of Omaha; one son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Melissa Runyon of New Boston; one daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Eddy Coleman of New Boston; one brother and sister-in-law, Ricki and Caren Hodges of Marietta; one sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Bruce Jackson of Omaha; seven grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha with Rev. Nolan Richey officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Omaha.
