Claudia Sharon Thomas Moore, age 79, of Naples, Texas, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015, at a Daingerfield, Texas nursing center. Sharon was born July 29, 1936, in Naples, Texas, to James Cecil Thomas and Claudine Ranes Thomas.

Sharon worked numerous years at Skyline High School in Dallas, where she was the head of the special education department. Upon retirement, Sharon and her family returned to Naples and became very active in the community. Sharon was a member at First United Methodist Church in Naples. She was also a member of the Morris County School Employees Association, Texas Retired Teachers Association, and Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. Sharon loved people and loved to travel.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving family members include her husband of 56 years, Mark "Rocky" Moore of Naples; son, Mark T. Moore of Naples; one sister, Sandra Wells of Linden; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Gary Thomas of Naples, and Scotty and Patti Thomas of Malakoff, Texas; two nephews; four nieces; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Naples, with Rev. Jay Barnes officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Naples. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Naples.
