Stephen Craig Newton, 51, of Sawyer, Oklahoma, went home to be with his Lord on November 13, 2015. Steve was born December 5, 1963 in Houston, Texas, to George Newton and Theresa Newton.

He was a devoted husband, proud father, doting grandfather, and an avid outdoorsman.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Steve is survived by his wife, Stacy Newton of Sawyer, Oklahoma; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Amber Newton of Omaha, Texas; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Jennifer and Joe Fondren of Omaha, Texas, Sara and Cole Hervey of Sawyer, Oklahoma, Meagan and Harley Bishop of Sulpher, Louisiana, Lillian Newton of Sawyer, Oklahoma, and Elizabeth Newton of Sawyer, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Jane Newton of Simms, Texas; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Shelia and Kerry Golden, Brianna Newton, Erin Newton all of Hughes Springs, Texas; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Omaha, Texas with Rev. Neal Thornburg officiating.
