Frances Sue Barrett, age 77, of New Boston, Texas went to be with the lord Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Sue Barrett was born November 15, 1946 in DeKalb, Texas, to Oliver and Ona Bell Smith.  She was a loving mother and housewife. Sue had a great passion for being outdoors, gardening, and tending to cattle. She also enjoyed fishing and camping.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Wayne Barrett of Simms, Texas; her parents, Oliver and Ona Bell Smith of DeKalb, Texas; one son, W.L. Tutt, Jr. of New Boston, Texas; one stepson, Randall Barrett of Simms; one brother, Lonnie Smith of Malta, Texas; one sister, Mary Wilkins of Waco, Texas; and one brother-in-law, Jerry Wilkins of Waco.

Survivors include her siblings, Gail Feagin of Hubbard, Texas, Becky Brooks and husband Joe of Bonham, Texas, and Bobby Smith and wife Carol of Simms; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Jerry Lorance of New Boston, Brenda and Greg Harmon of New Boston, and Tiffany and Steve Annis of Avery, Texas; one stepson, Larry Barrett and wife Paulette; eight grandchildren, Quittney Weliever, Brittney Phillips, Hailey Scott, Gary Lorance, Allison Smith, Staten Harmon, Tanner Inman, and Billy Tutt; ten beautiful great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Wards Creek Cemetery in Simms, Texas with Robby Bates officiating.
