Sue Ann Evans, age 70, of Marietta, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 in Texarkana, Texas. Sue was born May 22, 1946 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Thomas Edward Shell and Vera Lee Hunter Shell.

Sue was a Baptist. She worked in food service for many years, and retired from Pilgrim's Pride, where she was the cafeteria manager. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Dewayne Shell.

Surviving family members include her husband of 48 years, Eugene Evans of Marietta; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Thomas Hogue of Marietta and Wayne and Tonya Hogue of Lone Star; two daughters and one son-in-law, Ann Waldon of Daingerfield and Becky and Brad Roach of Hughes Springs; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home, Naples, Texas.
