Terry Ray McCollum, age 69, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at his home with family by his side.Terry was born July 24, 1950 in Naples, Texas to Bobby Glen McCollum and Josephine Fulce McCollum.

Terry was of Baptist faith.  He graduated high school in Deer Park, Texas in 1968 and joined the US Army later that year.  He went through basic training at Ft. Bliss before being stationed at Ft. Huachuca in Arizona.  From there, he transferred to Ft. Gordon and deployed to Korea.  Terry received an honorable discharge in 1971 after completing his tour of duty.  After his time in the service, Terry worked at Brown and Root Co. as a construction welder. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he was a jack of all trades. He could fix just about anything.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Bobby McCollum; and grandparents, John and Peggy Fulce and Earl and Fay McCollum.

Survivors include his mother, Josephine McCollum of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; his significant other, Tammie Hooper of Omaha, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jamie and Kristy McCollum of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and Joseph and Kelly McCollum of Bayfield, Colorado;  four grandchildren, Heath, Emily, Zack, and Kaselynn McCollum; one great-grandchild, Oliver McCollum; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas.  Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha with Pastor Jim Rawlings officiating.
