Obituary

Thomas Edward Beasley, age 88, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016, at a Hughes Springs, Texas nursing home. Thomas was born April 12, 1928 in Omaha, Texas to William Murl Beasley and Sybil Meadow Kimmel Beasley.

After graduating Omaha High School, Thomas joined the United States Army. He went into the reserves, and his unit was called up twice. Thomas served during the Korean Conflict. When he returned home, he spent his career at Lone Star Steel and T&N Warehouse in management. He truly loved his job. Thomas was a member at First Baptist Church in Omaha.

Thomas enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed reading, going to eat with his co-workers, and studying finance. In his younger years, Thomas loved cars and was known for being a prankster.

Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Beasley; his parents; and one brother, W.C. Beasley.

Surviving family members include one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Elizabeth Beasley of Mena, Arkansas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pennie and Tommy Knight of Naples, Texas, and Kay and Ralph Cline of Omaha; one sister-in-law, Rowene Beasley of Omaha; six grandchildren, Andrew Beasley, Emily Blais, Jeff Knight, Kris Knight, Paul Cline, and Beth Jordan; fifteen Great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha with Rev. Nolan Richey officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the funeral at the church.
