Thomas Jefferson Kingston, age 105, of Naples, Texas, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 in Pittsburg, Texas.  Thomas was born April 1, 1917 in Bryans Mill, Texas to James Thomas Kingston and Lee Lamor Tidwell Kingston.

Thomas was a deacon at Dalton Missionary Baptist Church for over 40 years.  After the Dalton church closed, he attended Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Marietta, Texas.  He was a master carpenter and a farmer.  Thomas planted a garden every year until he was 99 years old.  He was always a prankster and jokester.  He also enjoyed dancing.

Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Nannie Ree Kingston in 2007; his parents; one son, Roger Kingston; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Kingston; three brothers, Henry D. Kingston, James A. Kingston, and Robert Lee Kingston; and five sisters, Lena Mae Durham, Lumie M. Kingston, Martha Allen, Carrie Myrtle Cromer, and Inez Kingston.

Survivors include two sons and three daughters-in-law, Carl and Janie Kingston of Argo, Texas, Jimmie and Sharon Kingston of Naples, and Bonnie Kingston of Naples; four grandchildren, Carla Dickey and husband Eric, Keena McNaughton and husband David, Kenneth Kingston and wife Leigh Ann, and Keith Kingston; nine great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples with Rev. Jerrell Head officiating.  Graveside services will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Marietta.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the funeral home, prior to the funeral.
