Obituary

Tomi Uehara Wommack, age 86, of Naples, Texas, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. Tomi was born December 14, 1931 in Naha, Okinawa, Japan to Shinchu Uehara and Hana Toshiki.

Tomi was a member at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Bryans Mills, Texas. She owned a corndog stand for many years and she was a homemaker. Tomi was a member of the Kari Yu Shi Japanese dancing and singing group. She loved gardening, fishing, crocheting, and baking and was famous for her homemade rolls. Tomi enjoyed spending time with her family and loved all children.

Tomi was preceded in death by her husband, E.B. Wommack; her parents; an infant son; and one sister, Hatsuko Kitagawa.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Jeff Flatt of Dallas, Texas and Juanita and Donny Browning of Atlanta, Texas; three grandchildren, Tracey Flatt, Michael Flatt, Tim Flatt and wife Crystal; three great-grandchildren, Kate Flatt, Hannah Flatt, and Hazel Flatt.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel in Naples with Bro. Dominic Crescimanno and Bro. Mark Rinehart officiating. Interment will follow at Dalton Cemetery in Naples, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dalton Cemetery Association.
