Tommy Harold Tucker, age 78, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Monday, August 12, 2019, at his home. Tommy was born December 2, 1940 to Joe Will Tucker and Thelma Gladine Hicks Tucker.
In his younger years, Tommy co-owned and operated Tucker Brothers Logging. He then owned and operated Tucker Trucking and Naples Trucking. He also ran the trucking division for the roofing plant in Naples. Tommy bought and operated Morris County Farm Supply. His next business venture in 2002 was building poultry houses for Pilgrim's Pride with his wife Peggy. Tommy and Peggy have continued to raise cattle for the past 26 years. Tommy really enjoyed working on equipment with Joe at his shop or on the farm. When Tommy wasn't working, he enjoyed spending time with his family. His grandchildren called him "Big Daddy" and he found great joy in spending time with them.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Earl Tucker.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Tucker of Omaha; three sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Ashley Tucker of Omaha, Samuel and Nikkole Inman of Jackson, Mississippi, and Maj. Clyde R. and Aimee Inman of Battle Creek, Michigan; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jennifer and Jeff Derrick of Omaha, and Natalie Inman of Omaha; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Bill Tucker of Naples, Freddy and Karen Tucker of Judson, Texas, and Bobby and Linda Tucker of Longview, Texas; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Dorothy and Bill Rice of Naples, and Betty Tucker of Naples; sister-in-law, Thelma Tucker of Naples; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples. Funeral services will be at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Home with Bro. Donavan Jarvis officiating. A private family graveside service will follow.
