Joel Travis Harte, age 60, of Longview, Texas passed away Monday, January 11, 2016, in Longview. Travis was born July 10, 1955 in Naples, Texas to Forrest and Iris Hart.

Travis was preceded in death by his father, Forrest Harte; and grandparents, Jonay Aubrey and Irene Vissering Harte.

Surviving family members include his mother, Iris Harte of Lone Star, Texas; one sister, Donna Harte Coker of Lone Star; one brother, Mike Harte of Lone Star; and numerous other relatives.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home. A memorial service will be set for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association of the American Heart Association.
