Vannie Ann Hampton, age 66, of Naples, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 in Athens, Texas. Vannie was born July 30, 1953 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Vannie was a homemaker and a mother.  She loved the Dallas Cowboys.  Vannie also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and cooking for her family.  She always enjoyed going for a walk, picking wildflowers, watching the sun set, and visiting with her friends.

Vannie was preceded in death by her dad and mom, Leonard Carmen "L.C." and Dorothy Perkins; her mother, Anne Spence; and a special friend, Danny Cate.

Survivors include two daughters and one daughter-in-law, Angie and Shawnna Sanchez of Gun Barrel City, Texas and Jerri Davis of Dallas, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Cory and Amanda Hampton of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; one stepdaughter, Rachel Melara of Dallas; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Robin Worsham of Biloxi, Mississippi and Terry and Dave of Gulf Port, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Brenna Davis, Jake Hampton, Desiree Carruth, Julia Carruth, and Nathan Carruth; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Come and go visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2020 at Harrison Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Cornett Cemetery in Naples.  In light of current governmental regulations, social distancing will be enforced.
