Vera Fay Hall, age 88, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Vera Fay was born July 26, 1930 in Omaha, Texas to Charles William Forsyth and Ola Mae Allen Forsyth.

Vera Fay was a member at First Baptist Church in Omaha where she was formerly a Sunday School teacher, active with the Girls in Action group, and a mission trip sponsor.  She retired from the Paul H. Pewitt School District.  Vera Fay was a 66+ year member of the Omaha Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a past Worthy Matron.  She was also the president of the PTA when her children were in school.  She spent many hours preparing food for the sick and the shut-ins in the community.  Vera Fay enjoyed gardening and canning food, traveling, quilting and scrapbooking.

Vera Fay was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, J.C. Hall, in 1995; her parents; and one son-in-law, Randy Burchett.

Survivors include four daughters, Deborah Miller and husband Mark of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Donna Burchett of Pryor, Oklahoma, Kay Forrest and husband Don of Omaha, and Toni Sherburne and husband Pat of Moore, Oklahoma; one son, Kim Hall and wife Heather of Pittsburg, Texas; one brother, C.W. Forsyth and wife Nanci of Omaha; six grandchildren, Justin Forrest and wife Sheree, Brook Ratley and husband Bubba, Stacey Darden and husband Brandon, Colt Hall and wife Katy, Carly Ramirez and husband Sean, and Haley Sherburne; twelve great-grandchildren, Madison, Hallie, Landon, Alley, Tucker, Jace, Bryce, Ryder, Hudson, Walker, Kamrin, and Paityn; one niece, Nicki Akin and husband David; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Omaha with Rev. Keith Lauter and Rev. Glenn Griffith officiating.  Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha.
