Vivian Marie Michels, age 77, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019, at her home. Vivian was born February 6, 1942, in DeKalb, Texas to Raymond Burdette Barger and Margaret Newkirk Barger.

Vivian was a member at Daniels Chapel Congregational Methodist Church in Naples, Texas.  In her younger years, Vivian was a hairdresser. After marrying her husband, Richard, they owned and operated Michels Restaurant in Omaha.  Vivian enjoyed visiting on the telephone and spending time with her family.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Michels of Omaha; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Randy and Piddle Teal of Naples, Jaime Patterson of Austin, Texas; Kelli and Carol Ann Michels of Kingwood, Texas; and Chris Patterson of Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter, Shannon Schilling and special friend David Kessell of Omaha; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Martha Barger of DeKalb, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Freda and Sidney Kyles of Gillham, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Jennifer Teal, Jacob Schilling, Keith Teal, Kassie Teal, Chloe Teal, and Ann Marie Michels; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.
