Walter Robert "Wally" Craft, age 80, of Omaha, Texas, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015, at his home. Wally was born May 26, 1935 in Pickton, Texas, to Milton and Loretta Craft.

Wally was a civil engineer with Union Pacific Railroad for many years before he retired. Upon retirement from the railroad, he was a jack-of-all-trades and carpenter. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Wally was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Omaha, Texas. He was also a member of the David Elliott Masonic Lodge and the Omaha Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and camping. Wally loved people.

Wally was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving family members include his wife, Linda Craft of Omaha; three sons, Steve Derrick and wife Shelley of Omaha, Mike Derrick and wife Tanya of Pittsburg, and Michael Craft of Ft. Worth; two daughters, Pam Cameron and husband Jimmy of Naples, and Janet Pillars and husband Willy of Tuttle, Oklahoma; one sister, Sara Tomlin of Plano; thirteen grandchildren, Jeremy Osmon and wife Holly, Blake Amerson and wife Nicole, Taylor Amerson and fiancé Nikki, Chassidy Vissering and husband Harry James, Jason Derrick, Beth Derrick and Michelle Guzman, Drew Derrick, Kelsey Derrick, Heather Wood and husband Jordan, Lacey Burns and husband Josh, Jamie Cameron, Paige Pillars, and Blake Pillars; nine great-grandchildren, Calli Osmon, McKenlee Amerson, Stephanie Vissering and fiancé Landon Hooton, Clayton Vissering, Cutter Wood, JD Derrick, Austin Derrick, Gunner Derrick, and Natalie Derrick; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Omaha, with Rev. Nolan Richey and Rev. Bryan Peck officiating. Interment will follow at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha.
