Wanda Ruth Moore, age 81, of Naples, Texas passed away Friday, August 7, 2015 in Tyler, Texas. Wanda was born March 20, 1934, in Naples, Texas, on her grandfather's farm, to Charles Brackett Jones and Bobbie Ruth Brown Jones.
Wanda was a homemaker as her children were growing up, and then went to work as a school Teacher. She retired from Paul Pewitt School District. She was a member at Restoration Family Worship Center in Naples, where she taught the adult Sunday School class for many years. She was a member of the Morris County Retired Teachers' Association, Community Bible Study in Mt. Pleasant, Texas; president of Women's AGLOW, and a member of the American Legion Auxilliary.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 56 years, Victor Moore, in 2011; and her parents.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Elizabeth Ruth and Bill Beasley of Mena, Arkansas, and Mary Evelyn Moore of Athens, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, David Victor and Sharmaine Moore of Lees Summit, Missouri; two brothers and sister-in-law, Bob and Liz Jones of San Antonio, Texas and Don and Sheila Higgins of Arlington, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Danny Welch of Richardson, Texas; seven grandchildren, Emily Blais and husband Jason, Andrew Beasley and wife Ali, Matthew Thomas, Joel Thomas, Stephen Hudgens, Dominic Moore, and Hannah Moore, five great-grandchildren, Drew Beasley, Jackson Beasley, Avery Beasley, Abigail Blais, and Luke Blais; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Restoration Family Worship Center in Naples, with Rev. Bryan Peck and Rev. Don Couch officiating. Interment will follow at Vissering Cemetery in Naples.
