Archie Waymon Tenbrook was born to Archie B. Tenbrook and Rosie Capps Tenbrook in Cass County, Texas on March 10, 1934 and left his earthly life on September 30, 2021 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.

Waymon attended school in Marietta, Texas and graduated from Pewitt High School in 1952.  On September 23, 1954, Waymon and Shirley Fink were married in Naples and had 67 years together.  Waymon worked at Lone Star Steel and Armco Steel before he built Tenbrook Store and operated it for 27 years until retirement.  He helped restart the Marietta Fire Department and served as chief for a number of years.  Waymon enjoyed working on his farm, being with his family, and traveling.

Waymon was preceded in death by his father, his mother, and his stepfather, Thomas Boddie; his brother, Bobby Tenbrook; sister and brother-in-law, Madell and Wayne Robinson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, OI and Merle Fink; one niece, Patsy Tomlin; and three nephews, Ricky Robinson, Ronny Robinson, and Doug Robinson.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Tenbrook of Naples; one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Linda Tenbrook of Longview, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Richard Younger of Commerce, Texas; grandchildren, Danny and Kacy Tenbrook, Robby Tenbrook, Monica and Branson Dyess; great-grandchildren, Jack Hamilton, Ella Tenbrook, Nora Tenbrook, Will Tenbrook, Madalyn Tenbrook, and Harper Dyess; one sister-in-law, Shirley Granbery Tenbrook; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples with Rev. Bo Stevens and Rev. Tommy Weems officiating.  Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Naples.
