Wilma Jo "Sis" Vissering, age 88, of Naples, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015, in a Denison, Texas nursing home. Mrs. Vissering was born April 15, 1927, in Omaha, Texas to Joe Tigert and Annie Thelma Carruth Tigert.

Sis was a homemaker. She was a member at First Baptist Church in Naples, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bobby Tigert; and one sister, Nell Bisang.

Surviving family members include her husband of 67 years, John Paul Vissering of Naples, Texas, currently residing in Denison; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Linda Vissering of Denison; two daughters and sons-in-law, Paulette and Terry Roach of Harker Heights, Texas, and Janet and Dean Bryant of League City, Texas; three sisters, Katherin Hicks of El Paso, Mary Jane Hoskins of Mt. Pleasant, and Frankie Berry of Naples; one brother, Jerry Ray Tigert of Katy, Texas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015, at Concord Baptist Church in Omaha, Texas, with Rev. Nolan Richey and Paul Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Omaha.
